"This way!" Jack hollered as he bolted down the corridor to our left.

"Hiccup, after Jack!" I ordered, my inner clan leader clicking into place as I took charge of the situation. Hiccup glanced after Jack, self-doubt written plainly across his handsome face. We don't have time for this. I growled to myself then roughly shoved Hiccup into action. "Do as I told you!" He took off in the direction of his friend. "Rapunzel, watch his back. You can obviously fend for yourself; he's lost without his dragon and partner." She nodded, tightening her grip on her frying pan. "Now come on, we're wasting time!" We sprinted down the hallway, weapons ready and eyes searching.

Somehow, we were able to catch Jack and Hiccup quite easily. Rapunzel was fast, and because of the combat training I had received from my father, my endurance was high and my speed was fair. Hiccup and Jack, were not so fortunate, which was surprising because they were so lean. One would think that they would be fast.  Apparently not.

"Hiccup, look out!" Rapunzel screamed as a Furry appeared out of nowhere and lunged at the boy. She bolted at the Furry and when she was close enough, she whacked him in the face with her pan. Hard.

The Furry crumbled, clearly passed out. Hiccup stood, mouth agape, in utter shock as his brain registered the fact that he had been saved twice by this wee lass. I shoved him and urged him to keep moved as I knocked an arrow. I heard a sound to my right and immediately ducked. Spinning on my heel, I aimed at the large-- bunny? My aim was slightly off, and the bunny easily dodged it. I cursed myself for letting my shock take control of my skills.

"That's the best you got, love?" The bunny -who had the strangest accent I had ever heard- said as he darted towards me. He was huge, though not as big as the Furries, and incredibly agile.

"Not quite," I hissed as I shot arrow after arrow at him. I groaned when he dodged arrow after arrow, but I kept shooting nonetheless. The bunny finally reached me, and I sheathed my arrow. Quickly draping the bow across my back, I lunged at the bunny, who really acted like a man, fighting switching to hand-to-hand combat quickly. Maintaining the upper hand, I punched, kicked and cut. My actions did me no good as the heaviness of my own dress cushioned my attacks. Traitorous thing.

"ENOUGH!" A great, booming voice erupted from somewhere. The bunny and I stiffened the two of us turning towards the source of the voice. Standing in the middle of the hall was a great beast of a man, easily seven foot tall with big, burly muscles and white hair. He had tattoos covering his body and a long white beard. He was absolutely terrifying. I also noticed that he was holding onto Jack by the scruff of his hoodie.

Glancing around the room, I saw that Rapunzel and a brilliantly colored fairy were glaring at each other, while Hiccup and a small man who looked like he was made entirely out of sand were looking at each other sheepishly. Jack, the devil, was pouting from his place dangling over the floor. I rolled my eyes; I'd have to keep an eye on that one.

"Hello children," The man holding Jack boomed. "Or should I say, Guardians?"

There's this strange thing with me: I'll neglect a story for weeks, then write a whole chapter in a day. Um ok I know this sounds selfish but sometimes the less feedback I get from a chapter the less motivated I am to write the next one. I know, I know, I should do it because I love to write and I do! Honest! However, if I'm going to write a long, 15+ chapter story, I need to know that it is appreciated and liked! So tell me what you think! Criticism is appreciated, just please be nice. If you are rude, don't be surprised when I snap at you.

Don't steal this story! Although, it hasn't been edited, so I don't see why you would. That brings me to my next point: please point out mistakes! Again, be respectful of the effort it took to write this chapter. I will defend myself and my work with every (appropriate) word in my vocabulary if need be.

What did you think? We have Punzie being her badass self over there, and Merida leading the group. Most stories have Hiccup or Jack leading, but I decided that it was high time Merida had her shot. Pun not intended.

I'm not Scottish, so if anybody is Scottish/knows anybody who is Scottish, could you please point out parts where my word choice is too American? Actually, anybody can point that out. You're all included!
