"HICCUP!" I screamed, dragging Jack along by his sweatshirt as I barreled down the corridor, dodging servants, guests, and the like. We skidded around a corner into a surprisingly quiet area. I cursed myself for not asking someone where the fool's room was. All of a sudden, I heard labored breathing behind me. "Jack, we haven't gone far." I rolled my eyes without turning as I spoke to the boy behind me.

"Merida, what are you talking about? That wasn't me." Jack said, making me immediately turn and load my bow. I had dropped Jack's hand, and he used his free hand to brandish his staff in front of him. We couldn't see anything, just a hard, stone wall. I still couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching us. I shrugged and nervously sheathed my arrow, but kept a firm grip on my bow. I was determined to appear unfazed as I turned around and kept walking purposefully.

"Merida, what are you doing? There's somebody there!" Jack called, not moving. Idiot. He was going to call attention to us. I spun on my heel and stalked over to the prepared fool.

"Are you mad? Of course there's somebody around," I hissed in his ear, "but they aren't going to attack us if they think we know they are there! We have to use our heads." I stepped away from him, turning again and was about to call over my shoulder until I remembered that who ever it was that was there wouldn't be able to see Jack.  I probably looked half-mad scolding a person that wasn't there.

"Mer-" The sound was cut off and Jack sounded muffled. In one swift motion, I turned with a poised bow, ready to shoot at a moment's notice. There was a massive brown and white creature shoving Jack into a large red sack with a gold cord.

"Step back you," I growled and took aim. I was seconds away from releasing the arrow when I thrust into darkness. I was hoisted into the air uncomfortably as anger overtook me. I was no damsel in distress; they couldn't just whisk me away! I kicked and screamed, even tried to rip the bag open with my arrow, but it was to no avail. I was tossed forward and hit the ground with a thud. It suddenly dawned on me that I must be in the same type of bag that those creatures had thrown Jack in. I saw a peek of light and I thrust my hand forward, searching for the opening. When I was able to open up the sack, I tumbled out of it. The creatures, I'll call them Furries, because they were incredibly shaggy, had brought us to a cabin of sorts. It was huge and wooden, covered in Christmas colors and decorations. I looked and saw four sacks, including mine and Jack's. One of the sacks had been abandoned, lying in a dark red heap on the floor. Jack let out a groan and emerged from his sack. One of the Furries took a step towards him and I raised my bow-- again.

"Don't move," I was barely whispering but my voice carried over the expanse of the room.

"Merida?" An all too familiar voice came from behind me, but I didn't dare to turn around.

"Hiccup!" Jack cried joyously. "She's crazy isn't she?!" The fool was oblivious to the fact there was a Fluffy behind him, poised to make a move. "God, I missed this place." He said, but before I could ask him one of the millions of questions running through my mind, he suddenly screamed, "Hiccup, look out!"

Clank. There was the sound of metal hitting flesh, and while my feet ached to spin me around to see what had happened, I knew that the second I turned around, the Furry would pounce on Jack.

"Jack," I said "turn around and raise your staff." For once, the fool did what he was told. "You, behind me," I called, "who exactly are you?"

"The name's Rapunzel." A feminine, yet strong and savvy, voice came from behind me. I heard rustling behind me and saw a lass about my age with long golden hair emerge. She was short, and was straight up and down, with a cute, round face and sparkling emerald eyes. She was wearing a pink and purple dress that reached mid-calf with a fitted bodice. She was holding a black frying pan, and if I had to guess, that sound was her knocking out a Furry.

"Nice to meet you." I said glancing around nervously, not taking my eyes off of the Furry in front of me. Jack, however, didn't have that priority and turned around to see who the person who had apparently saved Hiccup was.

"Woah," came the suave reply. He had shocking wit, that one. "Hey there Beautiful, I'm Jack."

The Furry noticed Jack's distraction and lunged. Rapunzel lassoed it with a thick strand of... Her hair? She used the hair to bang the Furry against the nearest wall, effectively knocking him out. She fixed her eyes on Jack.

"Try to hit on me again, and you're next." She hissed, and he stumbled backwards as if slapped.

"The first two girls who've seen me in years have threatened me." He pouted, "I must be losing my touch. At least I'm not as hopeless as Hiccup."

    "Hey!" Came the dignified interjection.

"We have other issues to worry about." I told the lot. I turned to petite blonde, and I noticed that my bow was still loaded and pointed directly at the poor girl's chest. I relaxed my arrow and pointed it downwards. "I'm Merida, the awkward lad is Hiccup, and the white-haired fool is Jack." I could practically see her mind racing as she opened her mouth to question us, but I cut her off. "Not now, sorry." I turned to Jack, "Jack, you said you've been here before?"

"Yeah, and I can get us out here." Jack said.

"Okay, Hiccup, do you have a weapon?" I asked Hiccup, who had come to stand next to Rapunzel.

"Uh..." He trailed off before starting again, "I don't really do the whole 'let's kill people' thing."

    I glared at him. "You're a Viking."

"So? I'm a lover, not a fighter!" He cried, and I rolled my eyes before reaching into the folds of my dress.

"Here," I said, handing him a long-bladed dagger before looking at Rapunzel. "You, hit things now and I'll ask about the pan and the hair later." Spinning around, I nodded at Jack, "Lead the way."

There's a lot going on in this chapter.....

Jack gets rejected by a pretty girl for the second time in a day....

They all get kidnapped.....

Rapunzel knocks some Yetis out (those would be the Furries)......

Hiccup's a lover, not a fighter.....

You know, the usual. Clap
